Anupam Roy is an Indian Bengali singer-songwriter, music director, composer, lyricist, guitarist, and engineer from Kolkata, West Bengal. He made his debut with Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao and Benche Thakar Gaan from the film Autograph (2010), becoming an instant sensation. He has composed and sung for numerous Bengali films and made his Bollywood debut with Piku (2015), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Background Score. A recipient of the National Film Award for Best Lyrics (Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho), he is one of the most influential contemporary Bengali musicians.
